Ricardo Anaya, Team Leader for painting and assembly of our Side Loaders, has been with Ellis for 15 years, getting his start as a painter. Ricardo has seen Ellis from a number of distinct perspectives, and he now spends most of his time working closely with supervisors in other departments.
While Ricardo commits to supervising others during the weekday, he spends his weekends setting off on his own on the camping trail. In the summer, Ricardo will typically set aside 2-3 days for camping. Most recently, he visited Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Millbrook, Illinois. Camping also provides Ricardo with the opportunity to fish. He opts for catch and release, because he’s more invested in the hobby for the relaxation it provides. His favorite spot to fish is the section of the Illinois River near Interstate 88 in Utica.
When he’s not out in the wild or in the office, Ricardo devotes his time to his family. He enjoys watching movies with his young daughters, saying that they tend to gravitate towards Disney princess movies. Coincidentally, the last vacation Ricardo took with his family was to Disney World. Before that, they visited Wisconsin Dells and stayed in a cabin along the lake, providing ample opportunities for fishing.
No matter where Ricardo is spending his time outside the office, you can bet that he won’t be far from the outdoors and his family.
